The valuable and true meaning of life may be a pleasure that a person meets after overcoming numerous difficulties and despair. IYF invites those who show successful examples at all social standings. We listen to their view of life and philosophy through lectures to let students to form far more constructive and future-oriented mindsets. They, in advance, prepare the path of life, which students did not walk yet, and let them ponder seriously about life, a future path, and a dream. The Nobel Foundation, chairman of the board of directors, Dr. Michael Nobel and DTAC representative, Mr. Sigve Breke and Haksoo Kim UN ESCAP secretary-general and other celebrities of the world are invited to have a sincere and meaningful time.

This IYF Alternative Education School was founded for students who had lost an interest in the current academic system that is standardized and without vision. The IYF Alternative Education School was established to emulate the administrative practices of the world’s leading educational systems. Its objective is to cultivate gifted students as future leaders. Students possessing leadership qualities in the field of politics, economy, social aspects, culture, and every other field of importance will be reared based on their talent. Just as a caterpillar becomes a beautiful butterfly, through the IYF Alternative Education School’s approach, students will acquire dreams, overcome difficulties, gain a challenging spirit, and share common hearts with others to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Alternative Education School are located in South Korea: Seoul, Bucheon, Jeonju, Gangneung, and Masan. Also in China, etc.

The IYF English Speech Contest first commenced in 2001. This event is known for its prestige and large scale, drawing great recognition from the Korean people. Moreover, the contest is widely acclaimed for the subjects presented by the students in giving inspiration to the people. Students who have participated in the speaking contests have all experienced improvement in their English, and obtained confidence in the language. They not only write and memorize manuscripts, but with fervent practice to speak naturally at the presentation, they are able to achieve an inordinate amount of improvement in their actual communication skills afterwards. Currently, IYF holds English Speech Contests in the non-English speaking nations of Africa and Asia.

Similarly, through the Korean Wave and Good News Corp Overseas volunteer service programs, students who were interested in learning about Korea in the IYF branch countries as Vietnam, Ukraine, Mongolia, Thailand, and the Philippines, respectively, have held their own Korean Speech Contests and Korean Word Camps, and received great responses.

Highly qualified teachers amid English education programs in Korea and meticulously scheduled programs bring an opportunity for students who are used to studying English ‘only at the desk.’ Now, they have a chance to overcome the burdens of communication, and actually learn to speak the language. Programs such as ‘Song & Dance’ and ‘Communication Practice,’ experiencing the American lifestyle, learning the American board game called ‘Life’; the game of (‘Scavenger Hunt’) where the whole class joins in for missions, access the hearts of the students to open widely towards English language. At the IYF English Camp, instead of learning ‘dead English’ that was focused at earning high test scores, students learn useful and ‘living English.’ This ‘living English’ is for the cosmopolitan, and the leaders of tomorrow. Following Korea’s footsteps, English Camps are now organized in Japan and South America.
